If you're experiencing issues with your Blu Brain Ambassador referral not tracking properly, don't worry! This guide will help you troubleshoot common problems and ensure your referrals are correctly attributed.


1. Understanding How Referral Tracking Works

Blu Brain uses cookies and tracking links to monitor referrals. A cookie is stored in their browser when a potential customer clicks your unique referral link. If they purchase within 30 days, the sale is credited to your account.

Tracking relies on:

  • Clicks on your unique referral link

  • A 30-day cookie window to track purchases

  • Correct link formatting and proper usage


2. Common Issues & Fixes

2.1. The Referral Clicked My Link, but It Didn't Track

Fix:

  • Ensure they click your unique referral link (found in your Ambassador Dashboard).

  • Ask them to check out within 30 days of clicking the link.

  • Have them complete their order on the same browser where they clicked your link.

2.2. The Customer Used a Different Link Before Buying

Fix:

  • The last-clicked link gets the credit if the customer clicks another affiliate's link after yours.

  • Encourage referrals to use your link right before checkout to ensure proper tracking.

2.3. The Referral Used a Different Device or Cleared Cookies

Fix:

  • Referral tracking works only on the same device where the link was clicked.

  • Tracking may be lost if the user clears cookies or uses incognito mode.

  • Encourage users to checkout on the same browser and device.

2.4. The Customer Had Browser Settings Blocking Cookies

Fix:

  • Some browsers block third-party cookies, which can interfere with tracking.

  • I suggest they turn off strict tracking protection or use a different browser.

2.5. The Purchase Shows as 'Pending'

Fix:

  • All referrals have a pending approval period (7-14 days).

  • Commissions are confirmed once the order is processed and not refunded.

2.6. The Referral Entered the Website Without Clicking the Link

Fix:

  • Ensure they always use your referral link to access the site before purchasing.

  • Only the last link counts if they visited Blu Brain first and later clicked your link.


3. How to Check If Your Link Is Working

Test it yourself: 

1️⃣ Copy your referral link from the Ambassador Dashboard. 

2️⃣ Open a private/incognito browser window. 

3️⃣ Paste and visit your link. 

4️⃣ Add a product to the cart and proceed to checkout. 

5️⃣ your referral should be recorded in your dashboard if tracking is working.
